About Epiford 500 CR Tablet:

Epiford 500 CR Tablet is an antiepileptic class of medication, indicated for the treatment of epilepsy, manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder, and prophylaxis of migraine headache.

Each film-coated controlled release Epiford 500 CR Tablet contains Sodium Valproate 333 mg and Valproic Acid 145 mg (Both equivalent to Sodium Valproate 500 mg).

Sodium Valproate is an antiepileptic class of medicines. It controls seizures or fits by stabilizing excessive electrical activity in the brain. It is thought to achieve this in two ways: by increasing the activity of a natural 'nerve-calming' agent in the brain and preventing electrical signals from building up in nerve cells in the brain.

Use of Epiford 500 CR Tablet:

Epiford 500 CR Tablet is prescribed for the following conditions:

• Use as Monotherapy and adjunctive therapy in the management of epilepsy (A disorder, in which nerve cell activity in the brain is disturbed, causing seizures)
• Treatment of manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder
• Prophylaxis of migraine headache

Usage Direction of Epiford 500 CR Tablet:

• Epiford 500 CR Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Epiford 500 CR Tablet is to be taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Epiford 500 CR Tablet:

• If hypersensitive or allergic to Epiford 500 CR Tablet, inform the physician immediately.
• If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
• The physician should be well informed when concomitant consumption of this tablet with any other medicines or supplements.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Epiford 500 CR Tablet:
