About Elocon Ointment :

Elocon ointment is a topical corticosteroid ointment indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses. Elocon ointment contains Mometasone Furoate 0.1% w/w as an active ingredient in an Ointment base q.s.

Use of Elocon Ointment :

Elocon ointment contains the active ingredient Mometasone Furoate, is a synthetic corticosteroid which has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and vasoconstrictive properties applied on the surface of the skin to reduce the redness and itchiness caused by certain skin problems.

Usage direction of Elocon Ointment :

  • Elocon ointment should be applied topically as per doctor’s advice. Doctor will decide the right amount and the duration of use as per the patient condition.
  • Remove cap, invert and push downwards to puncture seal. Squeeze tube from bottom. Replace the cap after use.
  • Apply a thin film of Elocon ointment to the affected skin areas as directed.
  • Therapy should be discontinued when control is achieved.
  • If no improvement is seen, reassessment of diagnosis may be necessary.
  • Wash your hands after applying Elocon ointment.

Precaution & Related Information of Elocon Ointment :

  • Do not use Elocon ointment if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients in the product. If irritation develops, Elocon ointment should be discontinued and appropriate therapy instituted.
  • The ointment is for external use only.
  • Pregnancy and Lactation: Topical corticosteroids should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. Caution should be exercised when Elocon ointment is administered to a nursing mother.
  • Keep out reach of children.
  • Store at 8°C -25°C.
