About Ecentopam 5 mg Tablet:

Ecentopam 5 mg Tablet is a selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor used in the treatment of depression and other mental health conditions.

Each film-coated Ecentopam 5 mg Tablet contains Escitalopram Oxalate equivalent to Escitalopram 5 mg.

Escitalopram is the S-enantiomer of the racemic derivative citalopram with an antidepressant, anti-obsessive-compulsive and antibulimic properties. It selectively inhibits the re-uptake of serotonin thereby enhancing the actions of serotonin in the central nervous system.

Uses of Ecentopam 5 mg Tablet:

Ecentopam 5 mg Tablet is prescribed for treatment of major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, social anxiety disorder, and panic disorder with or without agoraphobia.

Usage Direction of Ecentopam 5 mg Tablet:

• Ecentopam 5 mg Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Ecentopam 5 mg Tablet is to be taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Ecentopam 5 mg Tablet:

• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Ecentopam 5 mg Tablet.
• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
• The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Ecentopam 5 mg Tablet with any other medication.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Ecentopam 5 mg Tablet:

Store in a cool, dry and dark place. Protect from direct sunlight.
