About Duovir N Tablet:

Duovir N Tablet is a combination medication, indicated to treat HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infection in adults.

Each film-coated Duovir N Tablet contains Lamivudine 150 mg, Zidovudine 300 mg, and Nevirapine 200 mg.

Lamivudine, Zidovudine, and Nevirapine are antiretroviral class of medication.

Lamivudine is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor. It prevents viral infections by inhibiting the activity of the enzyme HIV reverse transcriptase through DNA chain termination.

Zidovudine is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor. It prevents viral infections by interfering with the HIV reverse transcriptase enzyme which is required for the replication of the virus.

Nevirapine is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor. It prevents viral infections by inhibiting the activity of the enzyme HIV reverse transcriptase which is required for the virus to multiply.

Use of Duovir N Tablet:

Duovir N Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infection in adult patients.

Usage Direction of Duovir N Tablet:

• Duovir N Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Keep the container tightly closed.
• Duovir N Tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Duovir N Tablet:

• If hypersensitive or allergic to Duovir N Tablet, inform the physician immediately.
• Do not take Duovir N Tablet if patients have liver problems.
• Before taking Duovir N Tablet consult with the physician if the patient receives dialysis, or has trouble swallowing pills.
• Consult with a physician if patients get a rash with symptoms including blisters, muscle or joint aches, red or inflamed eyes, like “pink eye”, mouth sores, swelling of the face, fever, feeling unwell, and tiredness.
• Duovir N Tablet can make patients dizzy and have other side effects that make patients less alert. Do not drive or operate machines unless patients are feeling well. The Patient may experience fatigue. Use caution when engaging in activities such as driving, or using any tools, or machines.  
• If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
• The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Duovir N Tablet with any other medication.
• Before taking Duovir N Tablet consult with a physician if patients are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
• Before taking Duovir N Tablet consult with the physician if patients are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Duovir N Tablet:

Store in a cool, dry place.
