About Doxycycline 100 mg Capsule:

Each Doxycycline 100 mg capsule contains Doxycycline Hydrochloride equivalent to Doxycycline 100 mg.

Doxycycline 100 mg capsule is a broad-spectrum antibiotic synthetically derived from oxytetracycline and used to treat a wide variety of susceptible bacterial infections. It inhibits protein synthesis by prohibiting the 30S ribosomal subunit of bacteria. 

Use of Doxycycline 100 mg Capsule:

Doxycycline 100 mg capsule is prescribed  to treat wide range of bacterial infections, which include:

• Chest, lung, or nasal infections e.g. bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis.
• Infections of the kidneys and bladder e.g. cystitis, urethritis.
• Infections of the skin such as acne.
• Eye infections.
• Sexually transmitted diseases e.g. gonorrhea, syphilis, Chlamydia
• Rickettsial infections such as Q fever or fevers associated with louse or tick bites.
• Malaria, when chloroquine is not effective.
• Other bacterial infections.

Usage direction of Doxycycline 100 mg Capsule:

• Doxycycline 100 mg capsule should be taken orally.
• Doxycycline 100 mg capsule is taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the capsule.
• Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.
