About Dolonex 40 mg/2 ml Injection:

Dolonex 40 mg/2 ml Injection is a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) indicated for symptomatic relief of pain in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.

Each ml of Dolonex Injection contains Piroxicam 20 mg.

Piroxicam belongs to a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory class of drug. It works by blocking COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, thereby reducing the production of prostaglandin, the compound responsible for causing pain and inflammation in the body.

Use of Dolonex 40 mg/2 ml Injection:

Dolonex 40 mg/2 ml Injection is prescribed for relieving pain and inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis.

Usage direction of Dolonex 40 mg/2 ml Injection:

  • Dolonex 40 mg/2 ml Injection is intended for Intramuscular Injection only.
  • The Physician will advise the right dose & direction of administration as per the patient’s condition.
  • Self-administration is strictly prohibited.

Precaution & Related information of Dolonex 40 mg/2 ml Injection:

Precaution and physician’s consultation should be taken during the following conditions-

  • If hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients of Dolonex 40 mg/2 ml Injection.
  • If patient have previously had or currently have a stomach or intestinal ulcer, bleeding or perforation.
  • If patient have severe heart failure.
  • The concomitant use of Piroxicam, with oral anticoagulants, increases the risk of Gastro-Intestinal and non-Gastro-Intestinal bleeding and should be given with caution.
  • During driving a car or operating machinery, as Dolonex 40 mg/2 ml Injection may cause drowsiness.
  • The Physician should be well informed when concomitant administration of this injection with any other medicines.
  • This injection is not to be used for newborn babies or premature infants.
  • Consult with the physician during pregnancy and lactation.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Dolonex 40 mg/2 ml Injection:

  • Store protected from light & excessive heat.
