About Divaltus OD 250 mg Tablet:

Divaltus OD 250 mg Tablet is used as monotherapy and adjunctive therapy in the treatment of epilepsy.

Each film-coated extended-release Divaltus OD 250 mg Tablet contains Divalproex Sodium equivalent to Valproic acid 250 mg.

Divalproex sodium is a generic term used to describe valproic acid, its salts, and derivatives. Divalproex sodium is a carboxylic acid anticonvulsant. It has been suggested that its antiepileptic activity is related to increased brain levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA).

Uses of Divaltus OD 250 mg Tablet:

Divaltus OD 250 mg Tablet is prescribed to treat following conditions:

• As a monotherapy and adjunctive therapy in the treatment of epilepsy. It helps to prevent and control various types of seizures (complex partial seizures, simple and complex absence seizures, multiple seizure types that include absence seizures).
• Prophylaxis of migraine.
• Acute treatment of manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder, with or without psychotic features.

Usage Direction of Divaltus OD 250 mg Tablet:

• Divaltus OD 250 mg Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Divaltus OD 250 mg Tablet should be swallowed as whole.
• Do not chew or crush the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Divaltus OD 250 mg Tablet:

• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Divaltus OD 250 mg Tablet.
• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
• The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Divaltus OD 250 mg Tablet with any other medication.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep medicines out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Divaltus OD 250 mg Tablet:

Store protected from moisture, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
