About Damita M 5 mg/1000 mg Tablet:

Damita M 5 mg/1000 mg Tablet is a combination of two anti-diabetic medications, used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Each film-coated Damita M 5 mg/1000 mg Tablet contains Dapagliflozin Propanediol Monohydrate equivalent to Dapagliflozin 5mg and Metformin Hydrochloride 1000mg (Extended-release).

Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, inhibits the SGLT2 co-transporter, which leads to lower reabsorption of filtered glucose into the body and decreases the renal threshold for glucose (RTG), leading to increased glucose excretion in the urine.

Metformin is a biguanide antihyperglycaemic agent which improves glucose tolerance by lowering both basal and postprandial plasma glucose. It decreases hepatic glucose production, delays intestinal glucose absorption, and improves insulin sensitivity by enhancing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization.

Damita M 5 mg/1000 mg Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps control high blood glucose levels.

Usage Direction of Damita M 5 mg/1000 mg Tablet:

• Damita M 5 mg/1000 mg Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Damita M 5 mg/1000 mg Tablet should be swallowed whole.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

• Caution: It is dangerous to take this preparation except under medical supervision.
