About Crestor 5 mg Tablet:

Crestor 5 mg tablet is a dyslipidemic agent used to treat several types of dyslipidemias.

Each film coated Crestor 5 mg tablet contains Rosuvastatin calcium equivalent to Rosuvastatin 5 mg.

Rosuvastatin selectively and competitively inhibits 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase, the rate-limiting enzyme in cholesterol synthesis. It increases the number of hepatic LDL receptors on the cell surface, thereby enhancing the uptake and catabolism of LDL. It also decreases apolipoprotein B, triglyceride and increases HDL concentrations.

Use of Crestor 5 mg Tablet:

Crestor 5 mg tablet is prescribed for the treatment of several types of dyslipidemias, including primary hyperlipidemia, mixed dyslipidemia, hypertriglyceridemia, hypercholesterolemia in patients with failed dietary modifications.

Usage direction of Crestor 5 mg Tablet:

• Crestor 5 mg tablet should be taken orally.
• Crestor 5 mg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.
