About Claventia 500 mg Tablet:

Claventia 500 mg tablet is an antibiotic, used for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infection.

Each uncoated bilayer Claventia 500 mg tablet contains: One layer as Cefuroxime Axetil equivalent to Anhydrous Cefuroxime 250 mg (As immediate Release) and Second layer as Cefuroxime Axetil equivalent to Anhydrous Cefuroxime 250 mg (As gastric floating sustained release).

Cefuroxime is a beta-lactam antibiotic, which inhibits bacterial cell wall biosynthesis by binding to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), thus arresting cell wall assembly resulting in bacterial cell death.

Use of Claventia 500 mg Tablet:

Claventia 500 mg tablet is prescribed for the treatment of many different types of bacterial infections such as bronchitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis, ear infections, gonorrhea, urinary tract infections, skin & soft tissue infections, etc.

Usage direction of Claventia 500 mg Tablet:

• Claventia 500 mg tablet should be taken orally.
• Claventia 500 mg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.
