About Cetil Suspension:

Cetil Suspension is an antibiotic, used for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infection.

Each 5 ml of reconstituted suspension contains Cefuroxime Axetil equivalent to Cefuroxime 125 mg and Excipients q.s. (In a flavoured base).

Cefuroxime is a beta-lactam antibiotic, which inhibits bacterial cell wall biosynthesis by binding to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), thus arresting cell wall assembly resulting in bacterial cell death.

Use of Cetil Suspension:

Cetil Suspension is prescribed for the treatment of many different types of bacterial infections such as bronchitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis, ear infections, gonorrhea, urinary tract infections, skin & soft tissue infections, etc.

Usage direction of Cetil Suspension:

  • Cetil Suspension is intended for oral use only.
  • Please check the package leaflet or label instruction before administration.
  • Cetil Suspension should be reconstituted in sterile water for injection 25 ml for dilution.
  • Shake well before use.
  • Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
  • Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Direction for reconstitution:

  • Shake the bottle well to loosen the powder.
  • Add 25 ml o sterile water for injection in bottle and replace the cap.
  • Shake the bottle well for 2 minutes to mix the medicine properly.
  • Store the reconstituted suspension in the refrigerator between 2°C to 8°C.
  • The reconstituted suspension should be consumed within 5 days of preparation.

Precaution & Related information of Cetil Suspension:

  • If allergic to this medicine, inform the physician immediately.
  • If find any other complication inform the physician immediately.
  • Sterile water not to be used, if ampoule is found leaking or solution is not clear.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Cetil Suspension:

Store below 30°C. Protect from light & moisture.
