About Cefoprit 500 mg Tablet:

Cefoprit 500 mg tablet is an antibiotic, used for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infection.

Each film coated Cefoprit 500 mg tablet contains Cefuroxime Axetil equivalent to Cefuroxime 500 mg.

Cefuroxime is a beta-lactam antibiotic, which inhibits bacterial cell wall biosynthesis by binding to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), thus arresting cell wall assembly resulting in bacterial cell death.

Use of Cefoprit 500 mg Tablet:

Cefoprit 500 mg tablet is prescribed for the treatment of many different types of bacterial infections such as bronchitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis, ear infections, gonorrhea, urinary tract infections, skin & soft tissue infections, etc.

Usage direction of Cefoprit 500 mg Tablet:

  • Cefoprit 500 mg tablet should be taken orally.
  • Cefoprit 500 mg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
  • Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
  • Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
  • Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.
