About Cefakind Dry Syrup:

Cefakind Dry Syrup is an antibiotic, used for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infection.

Each 5 ml of constituted suspension contains Cefuroxime Axetil equivalent to Cefuroxime 125 mg.

Cefuroxime is a beta-lactam antibiotic, which inhibits bacterial cell wall biosynthesis by binding to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), thus arresting cell wall assembly resulting in bacterial cell death.

Use of Cefakind Dry Syrup:

Cefakind Dry Syrup is prescribed for the treatment of many different types of bacterial infections such as bronchitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis, ear infections, gonorrhea, urinary tract infections, skin & soft tissue infections, etc.

Usage direction of Cefakind Dry Syrup:

• Cefakind Dry Syrup is intended for oral use only.
• Please check the package leaflet or label instruction before administration.
• Cefakind Dry Syrup should be reconstituted in sterile water for injection.
• Shake well the constituted suspension before use.
• For children the dose may be added to fruit juice or milk just before administration.
• The medicine should be taken after food for optimum absorption.
• Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Direction for reconstitution:

• Shake the bottle well to loosen the powder.
• Open the seal of the bottle.
• Twist open the ampoule of sterile water for reconstitution given with this pack.
• Take sterile water from the ampoule into the measuring cup and fill up to the mark (shown on the cap).
• Add the measured sterile water into the bottle.
• Shake the bottle well to mix the contents properly.
• Now give the medicine with the dosage cup to the child as directed by the physician.
• Constituted suspension should be stored in refrigerator and used within 10 days.

Precaution & Related information of Cefakind Dry Syrup:

• For paediatric use only.
• If allergic to this medicine, inform the physician immediately.
• If find any other complication inform the physician immediately.
• Sterile water not to be used, if ampoule is found leaking or solution is not clear.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Cefakind Dry Syrup:

Store in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light. Do not freeze.
