  • Canditral Capsule Overview:

Canditral Capsule is an anti-fungal medicine, used to treat a wide range of fungal infections which can affect different parts of the body such as the skin, nails, lungs, mouth, vagina and even internal organs. Canditral Capsule not only helps to treat fungal infections but also plays a crucial role in preventing them from coming back. By targeting and inhibiting the growth of fungi, Canditral Capsule ensures that infections are effectively controlled and reduced over time.

Composition of Canditral Capsule:

Each hard gelatin Canditral Capsule contains: Itraconazole pellets equivalent to Itraconazole 100 mg and Excipients q.s.

  • Uses and Benefits of Canditral Capsule:

Canditral Capsule is used for the treatment of fungal infections including:

Dermatophyte Infections: such as ringworm and athlete's foot

Candidiasis: fungal infections caused by Candida species (e.g., oral thrush, vaginal yeast infections)

Systemic fungal Infections: Like histoplasmosis, blastomycosis, or aspergillosis, which affect the respiratory system as well as other internal organs such as liver, heart, brain or kidneys

Onychomycosis: fungal infections of the nails

Fungal Infections in immunocompromised patients: such as those with HIV/AIDS

Canditral Capsule also helps in preventing the recurrence of fungal infections, especially in people with weakened immune systems or those at high risk.

  • How Canditral Capsule Works:

Canditral Capsule contains Itraconazole, which belongs to antifungal medicine. Itraconazole works by inhibiting the production of ergosterol, an important component of fungal cell membranes. By blocking the enzymes that make ergosterol, itraconazole weakens the fungal cell membrane, making it difficult for the fungus to grow and multiply effectively thereby stopping the infection and preventing it from worsening.
