About Budecort 400 mcg Rotacap:
Budecort 400 mcg rotacap is used to relieve symptoms of asthma. Each capsule contains Budesonide 400 mcg.
Budesonide is a synthetic glucocorticoid with anti-inflammatory and immunomodulating properties. Budesonide induces the expression of glucocorticoid-responsive genes that encode anti-inflammatory mediators such as certain anti-inflammatory cytokines and lipocortins. As a result, the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes is prevented, which are responsible for inflammation.
Use of Budecort 400 mcg Rotacap:
Budecort 400 mcg rotacap belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids. Budecort 400 mcg rotacap is prescribed as prophylactic therapy in persistent asthma and to reduce exacerbations of COPD. This medicine is not for the relief of acute bronchospasm.

• Budecort 400 mcg rotacaps are meant for inhalation only and are not to be swallowed.
