Budecort 100 mcg inhaler is used to relieve symptoms of asthma. Each actuation delivers Budesonide 100 mcg.
Budesonide is a synthetic glucocorticoid with anti-inflammatory and immunomodulating properties. Budesonide induces the expression of glucocorticoid-responsive genes that encode anti-inflammatory mediators such as certain anti-inflammatory cytokines and lipocortins. As a result, the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes is prevented, which are responsible for inflammation.

100 mcg inhaler is prescribed as prophylactic therapy in persistent asthma and
to reduce exacerbations of COPD. This medicine is not for the relief of acute
bronchospasm.
