About Bactrim Suspension:

Bactrim Suspension is a combination of two antibacterial medicines, indicated to treat various susceptible bacterial infections in children.

Each 5 ml of Bactrim Suspension contains Trimethoprim 40 mg and Sulphamethoxazole 200 mg.

Trimethoprim belongs to a class of antibacterial medicines. It prevents bacterial infections by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial nucleic acid and proteins, which is  required for bacterial survival.

Sulphamethoxazole belongs to a class of antibacterial medicines. It prevents bacterial infections by interfering with bacterial folic acid synthesis.

Uses of Bactrim Suspension:

Bactrim Suspension is prescribed for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections in children.

Usage Direction of Bactrim Suspension:

• Bactrim Suspension is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Bactrim Suspension is for paediatric use only.
• Replace the cap tightly after every use.
• Shake well each time before use.
• Please use the measuring cap that comes with the package for accurate measurement.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Bactrim Suspension:

• If hypersensitive or allergic to Bactrim Suspension, inform the physician immediately.  
• If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
• The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Bactrim Suspension with any other medication.
• Indiscriminate use of the drug for less common conditions may lead to fatal blood reaction.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Bactrim Suspension:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Do not freeze.
