About AZR Tablet:
AZR tablet is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and prevent organ transplant rejection.
Each uncoated AZR tablet contains Azathioprine 50 mg.
Azathioprine is an imidazolyl derivative of mercaptopurine. It exhibits its mode of action by inhibits RNA & DNA synthesis and antagonizes purine synthesis. It interferes with cellular metabolism by restricting coenzyme functioning and formation. It may also hinder mitosis.
Use of AZR Tablet:
AZR tablet belongs to a group of medicines known as immunosuppressants. It is prescribed to treat autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and prevent organ transplant rejection.
Usage direction of AZR Tablet:
- AZR tablet should be taken orally.
- AZR tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
- Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
- Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
- Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.
