Azithral Eye ointment is a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. Azithral Eye ointment blocks transpeptidation by binding to 50s ribosomal subunit of susceptible organisms and disrupting RNA-dependent protein synthesis at the chain elongation step. It stops the bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins.

Use of Azithral Eye Ointment:

Azithral Eye ointment contains azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic that fights bacteria. Azithral Eye ointment is used to treat eye infections caused by bacteria like bacterial conjunctivitis.

Usage direction of Azithral Eye Ointment:

• Azithral Eye ointment is intended for ophthalmic use only.
• Wash your hand thoroughly with soap & water.
• Hold the tube between your thumb & forefinger, place it as near to your eyelid as possible without touching it.
• Tilt your head back, pool down the lower lid of your eye with your index finger to form a pocket.
• Squeeze and apply the ointment into the pocket made by lower eyelid. Remove your index finger from the lower eyelid.
• Blink your eye gently; then close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes.
• With a tissue, wipe any excess ointment from the eyelid & lashes. With another clean tissue wipe the tip of the tube clean.
• Do not skip or stop the dose without doctor’s advice.
• Do not apply more than the prescribed quantity.

• Azithral Eye ointment is for external use only, not for injection.
• Do not use any other out side article to puncture the diaphragm.
• Avoid touching the tip of the tube against your eye to prevent contamination. The medicine & the container must be kept clean.
• If irritation persists or increases discontinue the use and consult the Physician/Ophthalmologist.
  
• If allergic to any of the ingredient of this medicine or any other complication appears during the application of this medicine, please consult with the Physician/Ophthalmologist immediately.
• Replace & tighten the cap right way.
• Please consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep the medicine out of reach of children.
