About Azifine+ 250 mg Tablet:

Each film-coated Azifine+ 250 mg tablet contains Azithromycin 250 mg.

Azifine+ 250 mg tablet is a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. Azifine+ 250 mg tablet blocks transpeptidation by binding to 50s ribosomal subunit of susceptible organisms and disrupting RNA-dependent protein synthesis at the chain elongation step. It stops the bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins.

Uses of Azifine+ 250 mg Tablet:

Azifine+ 250 mg tablet is a macrolide antibacterial drug, used for the treatment of patients with the following bacterial infections:

  • Upper respiratory tract infections such as sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, etc.
  • Acute otitis media.
  • Lower respiratory tract infections such as acute bronchitis and mild to moderately severe community-acquired pneumonia.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections.
  • Uncomplicated Chlamydia trachomatis urethritis and cervicitis.
  • Uncomplicated gonorrhea, etc.

Usage Direction of Azifine+ 250 mg Tablet:

  • Azifine+ 250 mg tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
  • Azifine+ 250 mg tablet is to be taken whole with the help of water.
  • Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
  • Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
  • Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Azifine+ 250 mg Tablet:

  • Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Azifine+ 250 mg tablet.
