About Azee 500 mg Injection:

Each combipack contains: Azithromycin for infusion 500 mg. Each vial Azee 500 mg Injection contains Azithromycin 500 mg and excipients q.s.

Sterile water for injections 5 ml FFS plastic ampoule. Each ampoule contains sterile water for injections. 

Each ml of reconstituted injection contains Azithromycin equivalent to Azithromycin (Anhydrous) 100 mg.

Azee 500 mg Injection is a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. Azee 500 mg Injection blocks transpeptidation by binding to 50s ribosomal subunit of susceptible organisms and disrupting RNA-dependent protein synthesis at the chain elongation step. It stops the bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins.

Use of Azee 500 mg Injection:

Azee 500 mg Injection is a macrolide antibacterial drug, used for the treatment of patients with infections caused by susceptible strains of the designated microorganisms in the conditions listed below.

Community-acquired pneumonia due to Chlamydia pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Legionella pneumophila, Moraxella catarrhalis, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, or Streptococcus pneumoniae in patients who require initial intravenous therapy.

Pelvic inflammatory disease due to Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, or Mycoplasma hominis in patients who require initial intravenous therapy.

Usage Direction of Azee 500 mg Injection:

  • Azee 500 mg Injection is intended for intravenous infusion use only.
  • For Dosage & administration see the enclosed package insert.
  • This medicine is given by direct injection into a vein, under the supervision of the physician.
  • Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
  • Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related Information of Azee 500 mg Injection:

  • The reconstitute solution should be used within 24 hours of preparation.
  • If allergic to this medicine inform the physician immediately.
  • If find any other complication inform the physician immediately.
  • Do not use, if any foreign particle is visible in the vial.
  • Important : Even visible damage to vial caused during transit, storage or handling may result in contamination.
  • Do not self administer.
  • Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
Storage Condition of Azee 500 mg Injection:

Store at or below 30°C in dry form.
