Azapure 50 mg tablet is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and prevent organ transplant rejection.
Each uncoated Azapure 50 mg tablet contains Azathioprine 50 mg and Excipients q.s.
Azathioprine is an imidazolyl derivative of mercaptopurine. It exhibits its mode of action by inhibits RNA & DNA synthesis and antagonizes purine synthesis. It interferes with cellular metabolism by restricting coenzyme functioning and formation. It may also hinder mitosis.
Use of Azapure 50 mg Tablet:
Azapure 50 mg tablet belongs to a group of medicines known as immunosuppressants. It is prescribed to treat autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and prevent organ transplant rejection.
