About Avessa 250 mcg Octacaps:

Avessa 250 mcg Octacaps is used in the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD).

Each Avessa 250 mcg Octacaps Capsule contains Formoterol Fumarate Dihydrate equivalent to Formoterol Fumarate 6 mcg and Fluticasone Propionate 250 mcg.

Fluticasone propionate is a synthetic, trifluorinated glucocorticoid with potent anti-inflammatory activity. It exerts its beneficial effects by inhibiting several types of cells and mediators involved in allergic, immune, and inflammatory responses.

Formoterol is a very potent long-acting adrenoceptor beta2-agonist with high intrinsic activity and rapid onset of action. Formoterol stimulates the beta -2 receptor, causing bronchodilation by relaxing the smooth muscle in the airway.

Use of Avessa 250 mcg Octacaps:

Avessa 250 mcg Octacaps is prescribed for the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD).

Usage direction of Avessa 250 mcg Octacaps:

  • Avessa 250 mcg Octacaps are intended for oral inhalation use only.
  • Capsules are intended for use through Octahaler only and are not to be swallowed.
  • After taking this medicine, rinse your mouth with water and split out.
  • Physician will advise the right dose and duration as per the patient’s condition.
  • Before using Avessa 250 mcg Octacaps, know the administration process properly from enclosed leaflet.
  • Keep the container tightly closed after use.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose.
