About Atecard D Tablet:
Atecard D Tablet is a combination medication, indicated to manage high blood pressure, and reduce the risk of other associated cardiovascular disorders.
Each uncoated tablet contains Atenolol 50 mg, Chlorthalidone 12.5 mg.
Atenolol is a beta-blocker. By relaxing the blood vessels, it reduces blood pressure, thereby, improving blood flow to the heart.
Chlorthalidone belongs to a class of diuretic medicines. It acts by increasing the production of more urine to excrete excess fluid and certain electrolytes from the body which helps to lower blood pressure.
Use of Atecard D Tablet:
Atecard D Tablet is prescribed for the management of hypertension (high blood pressure) and reduces the risk of other associated cardiovascular disorders such as heart attack, and angina (heart-related chest pain).
Usage Direction of Atecard D Tablet:
- Atecard D Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
- Atecard D Tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
- Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
- Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
- Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.
Precaution & Related information of Atecard D Tablet:
- If hypersensitive or allergic to Atecard D Tablet, inform the physician immediately.
