About Atecard 50 mg Tablet:
Atecard 50 mg tablet belongs to a group of medicine called beta-blockers, used for the treatment of hypertension.
Each uncoated Atecard 50 mg tablet contains Atenolol 50 mg.
Atenolol is a cardio-selective beta-blocker and selectively binds to the ß1-adrenergic receptor as an antagonist. Inhibition of ß1 receptors lowers the heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart.
Uses of Atecard 50 mg Tablet:
Atecard 50 mg tablet is prescribed for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), angina pectoris associated with coronary atherosclerosis, cardiac arrhythmias, and acute myocardial infarction.
Usage direction of Atecard 50 mg Tablet:
- Atecard 50 mg tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
- Atecard 50 mg tablet is to be taken whole with the help of water.
- Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
- Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
- Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.
