About Arigaba Ointment:

Arigaba ointment is a combination medicine used for the treatment of neuropathic pain. Arigaba ointment contains Gabapentin 8 %w/w, Ketoprofen 5 %w/w, Capsaicin 0.035 %w/w, Methyl salicylate 5 % w/w in an Ointment base q.s.  

 Use of Arigaba Ointment:

  • Arigaba ointment is a combination of Gabapentin, Ketoprofen, Methyl salicylate, Capsaicin. This combination of medicine relives the neuropathic pain.
  • Gabapentin decreases pain by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells.
  • Ketoprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) decreases pain by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
  • Capsaicin is a plant derivative decreases pain sensation by activating certain receptors to cause prolonged desensitization of the local pain nerves.
  • Methyl salicylate is used here as a topical analgesic decreases the pain by cooling & warming up action which interfaces the pain signal transmission through nerves.

Usage direction of Arigaba Ointment:

  • Arigaba ointment should be applied topically as per doctor’s advice. Doctor will decide the right amount and the duration of use as per the patient condition.
  • Unscrew the cap; then gently squeeze out a small amount of the ointment onto your finger.
  • Apply just enough ointment to form a thin layer on the affected skin and surrounding areas.
  • Replace the cap on the tube and wash your hands.
