About Ampoxin CV Forte Dry Syrup:

Ampoxin CV Forte Dry Syrup is a combination of two antibacterial medicines, indicated for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections in children.

Each 5 ml after reconstitution of Ampoxin CV Forte Dry Syrup contains Amoxycillin Trihydrate equivalent to Amoxycillin 400 mg and Potassium Clavulanate Diluted equivalent to Clavulanic Acid 57 mg.

Amoxycillin belongs to a class of antibacterial medicines. It prevents bacterial infections by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, which is required for the bacteria to grow and multiply.

Clavulanic acid belongs to a class of antibacterial medicines. It acts by inactivating some beta-lactamase enzymes that are produced by bacteria, thereby, preventing bacteria from destroying Amoxycillin.

Uses of Ampoxin CV Forte Dry Syrup:

Ampoxin CV Forte Dry Syrup is prescribed for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections including lower respiratory tract infections, otitis media (ear infection), sinusitis (sinus infection), skin & skin structure infections, and urinary tract infections in children.

Usage Direction of Ampoxin CV Forte Dry Syrup:

• Ampoxin CV Forte Dry Syrup is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Shake the bottle to loosen the powder.
• Twist to open the ampoule of sterile water given with the pack.
• Add 2/3rd of sterile water into bottle which contains powder.
• Put the cap and shake the bottle vigorously.
• Adjust the volume upto the ring mark on the bottle by adding more sterile water if required and shake well.
• Allow the suspension to stand for 5 minutes.
• Any extra portion left to be thrown away.
• Shake well before taking each dose.
• Please use the measuring cap that comes with the package for accurate measurement.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Ampoxin CV Forte Dry Syrup:

• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Ampoxin CV Forte Dry Syrup.
• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
• The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Ampoxin CV Forte Dry Syrup with any other medication.
• Reconstituted suspension should be used within seven days.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Ampoxin CV Forte Dry Syrup:

Store in a cool and dry place. Protect from light.

After reconstitution:

Store the reconstituted suspension in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.
