About Amipace 100 mg Tablet:

Amipace 100 mg tablet is an anti-arrhythmic medication, used to treat various types of arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat).

Each uncoated Amipace 100 mg tablet contains Amiodarone Hydrochloride 100 mg.

Amiodarone is considered a class III antiarrhythmic drug. It blocks potassium currents that cause repolarization of the heart muscle during the third phase of the cardiac action potential. As a result, amiodarone increases the duration of the action potential as well as the effective refractory period for cardiac cells (myocytes). Therefore, cardiac muscle cell excitability is reduced, preventing and treating abnormal heart rhythms.
Amiodarone also interferes with the functioning of beta-adrenergic receptors, sodium channels, and calcium channels.

Use of Amipace 100 mg Tablet:

Amipace 100 mg tablet is prescribed only for the treatment of the following documented, life-threatening recurrent ventricular arrhythmias when these have not responded to documented adequate doses of other available antiarrhythmics or when alternative agents could not be tolerated.

• Tachyarrhythmias associated with Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome.
•  Atrial flutter and fibrillation when other drugs cannot be used.
• All types of tachyarrhythmias of paroxysmal nature including supraventricular, nodal and ventricular tachycardias, recurrent ventricular fibrillation: when other drugs cannot be used.

Usage direction of Amipace 100 mg Tablet:

• Amipace 100 mg tablet should be taken orally.
• Amipace 100 mg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

• If allergic to this medicine, inform the physician immediately.
• If find any other complication inform the physician immediately.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Amipace 100 mg Tablet:

Store below 30°C. Protect from light.
