About Amifru 40 mg Tablet:

Amifru 40 mg Tablet is a combination medication, indicated for the symptomatic treatment of edema (fluid retention) associated conditions, and to manage high blood pressure.

Each uncoated Amifru 40 mg Tablet contains Furosemide 40 mg and Amiloride Hydrochloride Dihydrate equivalent to Anhydrous Amiloride Hydrochloride 5 mg.

Furosemide and Amiloride both belong to a class of diuretic medicines. Both medicines act by increasing the production of more urine to excrete excess fluid and certain electrolytes from the body. In this way, it decreases edema and high blood pressure.  

Uses of Amifru 40 mg Tablet:

Amifru 40 mg Tablet is prescribed for the symptomatic treatment of edema (fluid retention) associated conditions, and management of hypertension (high blood pressure).

Usage Direction of Amifru 40 mg Tablet:

• Amifru 40 mg Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Amifru 40 mg Tablet is to be taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Amifru 40 mg Tablet:

• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Amifru 40 mg Tablet.
• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
• The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Amifru 40 mg Tablet with any other medication.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Amifru 40 mg Tablet:

Store in a cool, dry place. Protect from light.
