About Alprax 0.5 mg Tablet:
Alprax
0.5 mg tablet belongs to a class of medication called benzodiazepines, used to treat anxiety.
Each uncoated Alprax 0.5 mg tablet contains Alprazolam 0.5 mg.
Alprazolam is a triazolobenzodiazepine, acts on benzodiazepine receptors BNZ-1 and BNZ-2. The action of alprazolam on BNZ-1 mediates the sedation and anti-anxiety effects, while the action on BNZ-2 mediates the effect on memory, coordination, muscle relaxation, and anticonvulsive activity.
Alprazolam also couple with GABA-A receptors to enhance GABA binding to its receptor. This interaction mediates inhibition of the nervous system and results in a calming effect.
Use of Alprax 0.5 mg Tablet:
Alprax 0.5 mg tablet is prescribed for the treatment of severe anxiety or severe anxiety associated with depression. Due to its dependency or habit-forming nature, usually it is used for a short-term mode of treatment.
Alprax 0.5 mg tablet is also used for the treatment of Panic disorder with or without agoraphobia.
Usage direction of Alprax 0.5 mg Tablet:
- Alprax 0.5 mg tablet should be taken orally.
- Alprax 0.5 mg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
- Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
- Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
- Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.
