About Alporate Oral Solution:

Alporate Oral Solution is an antiepileptic class of medication, indicated for the treatment of epilepsy, manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder, and prophylaxis of migraine headache.

Each 5 ml of Alporate Oral Solution contains Divalproex Sodium equivalent to Valproic Acid 250 mg.

Divalproex Sodium is an antiepileptic class of medicines. It controls seizures or fits by stabilizing excessive electrical activity in the brain. It is thought to achieve this in two ways: by increasing the activity of a natural 'nerve-calming' agent in the brain, and by preventing electrical signals from building up in nerve cells in the brain.

Uses of Alporate Oral Solution:

Alporate Oral Solution is prescribed for the following conditions:

  • Use as Monotherapy and adjunctive therapy in the management of epilepsy (A disorder, in which nerve cell activity in the brain is disturbed, causing seizures).
  • Treatment of manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder.
  • Prophylaxis of migraine headache.

Usage Direction of Alporate Oral Solution:

  • Alporate Oral Solution is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
  • Shake well before use.
  • Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
  • Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Alporate Oral Solution:

  • Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Alporate Oral Solution.
  • Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
  • The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Alporate Oral Solution with any other medication.
  • Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
  • Keep all the medicines out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Alporate Oral Solution:
