About Alphagan Z Eye Drop:

Alphagan Z Eye Drop is used for the treatment of intraocular pressure.

Each ml of Alphagan Z Eye Drop contains Brimonidine Tartrate 1 mg, Stabilized Oxychloro Complex (Purite) 0.05 mg and Purified water q.s.

Brimonidine acts as an alpha2-adrenoceptor agonist and lowers intraocular pressure by reducing aqueous humor production and increasing uveoscleral flow. As a result, brimonidine aims to reduce the likelihood of glaucomatous visual field loss in ocular hypertension and slow the progression of visual field defects in established open-angle glaucoma.

Use of Alphagan Z Eye Drop:

Alphagan Z Eye Drop is prescribed for lowering intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension (pressure in the eye).

Usage direction of Alphagan Z Eye Drop:

  • Alphagan Z Eye Drop is intended for ophthalmic use only.
  • As per the patient’s conditions, the physician/Ophthalmologist will advise the proper dose and the duration of the application.
  • Before applying this eye drop, wash hands first.
  • It is advised to check the label or package insert leaflet before apply.
  • Keep the vial in cartoon until the contents have been used up.
  • Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
  • Do not apply more than the prescribed quantity.
  • Replace the cap after every use.

Precaution & Related information of Alphagan Z Eye Drop:

  • Alphagan Z Eye Drop is for external use only, not for injection
  • If allergic to Alphagan Z Eye Drop, inform the physician immediately.
  • If find any other complication inform the physician immediately.
  • If irritation persists or increases, discontinue the use and consult with the physician.
  • Do not touch the nozzle tip to any surface since this may contaminate the solution.
  • Use the solution within one month after opening the container.
  • Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
