About Aloja M Forte Tablet:

Aloja M Forte Tablet is a combination of two anti-diabetic medications, used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Each film-coated Aloja M Forte Tablet contains Alogliptin Benzoate 17 mg equivalent to Alogliptin 12.5 mg and Metformin Hydrochloride 1000 mg.

Alogliptin selectively inhibits the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) enzyme that rapidly truncates and inactivates incretin hormones such as glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP). Incretin hormones increase insulin synthesis and decrease glucagon release in a manner dependent on glucose concentrations. These effects lead to an overall increase in blood glucose control.

Metformin is a biguanide antihyperglycaemic agent which improves glucose tolerance by lowering both basal and postprandial plasma glucose. It decreases hepatic glucose production, delays intestinal glucose absorption, and improves insulin sensitivity by enhancing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization.

Use of Aloja M Forte Tablet:

Aloja M Forte Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps control high blood glucose levels.

Usage Direction of Aloja M Forte Tablet:

• Aloja M Forte Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Aloja M Forte Tablet is to be taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Keep the container tightly closed.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.
