About Adova Capsule:

Adova capsule is used for the treatment of breast cancer in postmenopausal women.

Each soft gelatin Adova capsule contains Anastrozole 1 mg.

Anastrozole is a potent and selective nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitor. It exerts its anti-estrogenic effects via selective and competitive inhibition of aromatase enzyme. Many breast cancers are hormone receptor-positive, meaning their growth is stimulated and maintained by the presence of hormones such as estrogen or progesterone. In postmenopausal women, estrogen is primarily derived from the conversion of adrenally-produced androgens into estrogens by the aromatase enzyme. By competitively inhibiting the biosynthesis of estrogen at these enzymes, anastrozole effectively suppresses serum estradiol concentration and, subsequently, the growth of hormone receptor-positive tumors.

Usage direction of Adova Capsule:

• Adova capsule is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Adova capsule is to be taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the capsule.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Adova Capsule:

• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Adova capsule.
• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
• The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Adova capsule with any other medication.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Adova Capsule:

Store in a cool, dry & dark place. Protect from light & moisture at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
