About Acuvert 5 mg Tablet:

Acuvert 5 mg Tablet is an antipsychotic class of medication indicated for the treatment of Nausea and vomiting including during a migraine. It can also be used to manage vertigo (dizziness), schizophrenia, acute mania, and anxiety in short term.

Each uncoated orally disintegrating Acuvert 5 mg Tablet contains Prochlorperazine Maleate 5 mg.

Prochlorperazine is an antipsychotic class of medication. It influences the activity of certain brain cells by decreasing the effect of dopamine, a natural chemical in the brain. It also depresses the releases of hypothalamic and hypophyseal hormones, thus affecting basal metabolism, body temperature, wakefulness, vasomotor tone, and emesis.

Use of Acuvert 5 mg Tablet:

Acuvert 5 mg Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called phenothiazine antipsychotics. It is prescribed for the treatment of the following conditions:

  • Nausea, vomiting and migraine induced vomiting
  • Dizziness due to ear diseases (such as Meniere’s syndrome or labyrinthitis), or due to other causes
  • Mental illnesses (such as schizophrenia and mania)
  • Anxiety in short term

Usage Direction of Acuvert 5 mg Tablet:

  • Acuvert 5 mg Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
  • Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
  • Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
  • Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Acuvert 5 mg Tablet:

  • If hypersensitive or allergic to Acuvert 5 mg Tablet, inform the physician immediately.
  • If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
