About Unizuva 20 mg Tablet:

Unizuva 20 mg Tablet is a dyslipidemic agent used to treat several types of dyslipidemias.

Each film-coated Unizuva 20 mg Tablet contains Rosuvastatin Calcium equivalent to Rosuvastatin 20 mg.

Rosuvastatin selectively and competitively inhibits 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase, the rate-limiting enzyme in cholesterol synthesis. It increases the number of hepatic LDL receptors on the cell surface, thereby enhancing the uptake and catabolism of LDL. It also decreases apolipoprotein B, triglyceride and increases HDL concentrations.

Uses of Unizuva 20 mg Tablet:

Unizuva 20 mg Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of several types of dyslipidemias, including primary hyperlipidemia, mixed dyslipidemia, hypertriglyceridemia, and hypercholesterolemia in patients with failed dietary modifications.

It can also be used to reduce the risk of other associated cardiovascular events, primarily strokes & myocardial infarction.

Usage Direction of Unizuva 20 mg Tablet:

  • Unizuva 20 mg Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
  • Unizuva 20 mg Tablet is to be taken whole with the help of water.
  • Do not break, crush or chew the tablet.
  • Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
  • Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Unizuva 20 mg Tablet:

  • Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Unizuva 20 mg Tablet.
  • Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
